How to do it
- Place your hands on the floor slightly wider than your shoulders and extend your legs.
- Form a straight line from your head to your heels, with your core tight.
- Lower your body by bending your elbows until your chest nearly touches the floor.
- Keep your elbows at about 45 degrees from your torso.
- Push the floor away to return to the start by extending your elbows.
- Keep your hips aligned, neither rising nor sagging.
Common mistakes
- Letting the hips sag and arching the lower back
- Doing half reps without lowering the chest to the floor
- Flaring the elbows to 90 degrees from the torso
