How to do it
- Place your hands on a stable elevated surface, wider than your shoulders.
- Extend your legs back, forming a straight line with your body.
- Lower your chest toward the surface by bending your elbows.
- Keep your elbows at about 45 degrees from your torso.
- Push to return to the start by extending your elbows.
- The higher the surface, the easier the exercise.
Common mistakes
- Letting the hips sag on the descent
- Using an unstable surface
- Doing half reps without bringing the chest close
