How to do it
- Stand with a dumbbell in each hand at your sides.
- Take a long step forward with one leg.
- Lower by bending both knees until the rear knee nearly touches the floor.
- Push through the front heel to return to standing.
- Alternate legs or complete one side before switching.
Common mistakes
- Taking too short a step and stressing the knee
- Leaning the torso forward
- Letting the front knee travel past the toes
