Unilateral (one side at a time)
How to do it
- Lie on your back holding the kettlebell with one arm extended toward the ceiling.
- Bend the knee on the same side and plant the foot, with the other arm and leg extended on the floor.
- Roll onto your free elbow and then post onto your hand, lifting your torso.
- Drive through your planted foot and raise your hips into a bridge.
- Sweep your free leg underneath to a kneeling lunge position.
- Stand up while keeping the kettlebell stable above your shoulder at all times.
- Reverse each step in order to return to the floor under control.
Common mistakes
- Losing the vertical line of the arm holding the kettlebell
- Looking forward instead of at the kettlebell in the low phases
- Rushing the steps and losing shoulder stability
