Equipment
Pull-up bar
How to do it
- Hang from a pull-up bar with a pronated grip slightly wider than your shoulders.
- Engage your lats and abs to control your body's swing.
- Raise your straight or slightly bent legs toward the bar by flexing your hips.
- Bring your feet to touch the bar between your hands, contracting your abs.
- Lower your legs under control, resisting the swing, back to the hang.
Common mistakes
- Using swing momentum instead of ab strength
- Bending the knees too much and shortening the range
- Losing lat tension and swinging out of control
