How to do it
- Sit on a bench with the balls of your feet on an elevated platform.
- Rest a dumbbell on each thigh near your knees, holding it in place with your hands.
- Let your heels drop below the platform to stretch your calves.
- Raise your heels as high as possible by pushing through the balls of your feet.
- Squeeze your calves for a moment at the top position.
- Lower under control to a full stretch on every repetition.
Common mistakes
- Doing short reps without full range
- Bouncing at the bottom instead of controlling
- Resting the dumbbells far from the knees and losing stability
