How to do it
- Stand sideways next to a sturdy box with feet hip-width.
- Bend your hips and knees slightly, swinging your arms back.
- Drive laterally by extending your legs and using your arms for height.
- Jump onto the box, tucking your knees to land with full feet.
- Land softly with bent knees and a stable torso.
- Step down off the box and repeat, alternating or to the same side.
Common mistakes
- Landing with the knees caving inward from the lateral drive
- Losing balance by not controlling the landing
- Jumping down off the box
