How to do it
- Stand with a dumbbell in each hand in front of your thighs.
- Keep your palms toward your body and your arms extended.
- Pull the dumbbells up, driving your elbows above your wrists.
- Rise to upper-chest height without shrugging your shoulders.
- Lower under control until your arms extend.
Common mistakes
- Raising too high and stressing the shoulder
- Swinging the torso
- Shrugging the shoulders on the way up
